Common Name The Ouricana Oncidium [A mountain range in Bahia Brazil]

Flower Size 1/2" [1.2 cm]

Found in Bahia Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 200 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with egg-shaped, laterally compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several conduplicate, leaf bearing sheaths all carrying 1 to 2, apical, oblong to lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the short, narrow, conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, erect to arching, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, paniculate inflorescence with several branches held in the apical 1/2 and each branch carrying 3 to 4 flowers.
