Andrew Gonzalez was an at-large member of the Old Bridge Township Board of Education in New Jersey. He initially filed for re-election in 2013 but withdrew on August 21 to accept a position with Teach for America.[1] Gonzalez was defeated by Annette Tunyla-Hopman, Nancy M. Mongon and Balwinder Singh on November 5, 2013. He was first elected to the board in 2010.

Gonzalez earned an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Middlesex County College. He later studied Political Science and Economics at Rutgers University. Gonzalez previously worked as a legislative intern for State Senator Barbara Buono. At the time of his tenure, Gonzalez was working as a teacher with Teach for America in Newark Public Schools.[2]
