Adrien Rabiot's unsettled status at Paris Saint-Germain has led to new speculation Arsenal could complete a move for the midfielder this winter, while Roma are interested in the Gunners' second-choice right-back Mathieu Debuchy.

Rabiot's connection to the Gunners stretches back to a contract disagreement in 2014, and despite the player signing a new deal last November, French newspaper L'Equipe says PSG are now nearly ready to sell, per the Daily Star's Colin Harvey.

The 20-year-old has found himself on the fringes of a team that includes stars such as Blaise Matuidi, Marco Verratti, Javier Pastore and the experienced Thiago Motta, leading to his struggle in cracking manager Laurent Blanc's first team.

The player's mother and agent, Veronique, has caused a stir at the Ligue 1 club in the past, and citing L'Equipe, Bleacher Report's Jonathan Johnson reported on Tuesday that PSG will make a decision on Rabiot's future, with Tottenham Hotspur said to be interested, too:

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juventus and Roma are also thought to be keen on the out-of-favour youngster should he exit the Parc des Princes this January (via Football Italia).

The midfield anchor is regarded to have something of a short fuse on the pitch—which would appear to fit his alleged off-field profile—having been sent off 28 minutes into his 2015-16 Ligue 1 debut.

Meanwhile, Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger has been forced to make do without his own starlet, Jack Wilshere, following a recurrence of his chronic ankle injury, while Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini are each nearing their twilight years.

Wenger is known to be a fan of imports from his native France, and it would seem the moment has come to call time on Rabiot's PSG career after he failed to feature in their last four league matches in succession.

The out-of-favour Debuchy has found himself in a similar situation at the Emirates Stadium, and it's reported Serie A powerhouse Roma could be willing to offer the France international a route out of north London.

That's according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (h/t the Daily Star's Rhys Turrell), while Milanese journalist Tancredi Palmeri goes so far as to suggest Debuchy has already sent ex-Lille manager Rudi Garcia a come-and-get-me plea:

Roma have already done business with the Gunners this season after agreeing to a season-long loan for goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, and now the Giallorossi are looking to poach more fringe talent, it seems.

Youngster Hector Bellerin has risen to become Wenger's first-choice figure on the right side of the defence, and the Spaniard is eager to keep hold of his starting place, per James Olley of the London Evening Standard:

At the beginning of the first season, you don't have that pressure to perform at 100 per cent because it is always hard when you first start. But now, in the second season, people are expecting big things from you so you can't disappoint them. You have to play your 'A' game in every single match and that is a good thing.

I'm confident, I know that I can play and you know that all the experience always plays in your favour. You've got both sides of it — people saying that teams know how to stop you but you've got the confidence and the experience.

Debuchy has made just three appearances across all competitions this season and is in a desperate race to impress France manager Didier Deschamps ahead of Euro 2016.

Wenger may not feel keen on the idea of handing Calum Chambers full responsibilities as reserve right-back, but holding on to Debuchy when the player's desire is to play elsewhere could present issues of its own.
