Batista: Top 10 Matches in His Entire WWE Career

0 of 10

"The Animal" Batista was a part of the WWE between 2002 and 2010. In those eight years he had numerous matches and feuds both as a face and as a heel.

He also had some great matches in his time with the company.

Amid rumors that Batista may be coming back and WWE's next PPV in his hometown of Washington D.C., I think now is a good time to look back at some of Batista's best matches with the company.

Here is a list of my top 10 Batista WWE matches in chronological order.

RAW Jan 3 2005: Batista vs. Benoit

1 of 10

When the WWE still had PPV quality matches in PPVs they also had them in free TV every once in a while.

This match between Batista and Benoit was the first RAW Main Event of 2005.

WrestleMania 21: Batista vs. HHH

2 of 10

    The implosion of Evolution.

This match had a great build up, a great storyline, and was the match that made Batista a Main Eventer as well as a World Champion for the first time.

Vengeance 2005: Batista vs. HHH, Hell in a Cell Match

3 of 10

This match solidified Batista's Main Event status and also led him to be considered a legitimate Champion. This was the first time that anybody had pinned HHH inside Hell in a Cell.

No Mercy 2005: Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero

4 of 10

This was the last time we saw Eddie Guerrero in a PPV match, as he would pass away a month after the event.

WrestleMania 23: Batista vs. the Undertaker

5 of 10

Two years after winning the Rumble and defeating the WHC at WM, Batista found himself on the other side of that story.

The Undertaker won the Royal Rumble and defeated the Animal at WM to claim the WHC for the first time, and continue his streak.

Cyber Sunday 2007: Batista vs. the Undertaker, Stone Cold as Special Guest Refere

6 of 10

Two certain Hall of Famers and possibly a third: what else could one ask for in a match?

The match itself lived up to the expectation, as the fight went back-and-forth until Batista pinned Taker.

One Night Stand 2008: Batista vs. HBK Shawn Michaels, Stretcher Match

7 of 10

This was another match with a great storyline thanks to Flair's "retirement" at the hands of HBK.

Bragging Rights 2009: Batista vs. CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio vs. the Undertaker

8 of 10

Even had this match itself not been good enough (which it was), Batista's heel turn would have made up for it, as he viciously attacked Rey after the match was over. We caught only a glimpse of what was coming.

WrestleMania 26: Batista vs. Cena

9 of 10

At Wrestlemania 21, John Cena won the WWE Championship while Batista won the World Heavyweight Championsihp. That night, both gained Main Event status.

Five years later, they fought one another at Wrestlemania 26.

Over the Limit 2010: Batista vs. Cena; "I Quit" Match

10 of 10

This was Batista's final WWE match—at least for now. It was also one of the best matches in either wrestler's career.
