This Volkswagen New Beetle (1998-2010) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle Turbo S was first registered in Michigan and later spent time in Montana and Washington before the selling dealer’s August 2023 acquisition, and it now indicates 47k miles. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and finished in gray over black and gray leather upholstery. The car has been fitted with Unitronic “Stage 1″ engine management software, and it is equipped with a sunroof, a twin-tip exhaust outlet, revised bodywork, projector-style headlights, fog lights, 17” alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, heated front sport seats, and a Monsoon cassette stereo. Service performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the high-current fuse holder along with the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat. This New Beetle has 47k miles and is now offered at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The Turbo S featured a speed-dependent roof spoiler, revised bumper covers, fog lights, Turbo S decklid badging, and a twin-tip exhaust outlet with polished finishers, and this example is finished in gray. Additional exterior details include a sunroof, projector-style headlights, and body-color mirror caps. Photos show chips, taped cracks, and various additional blemishes on the front bumper cover.
Silver-finished 17″ wheels wear 225/45 Michelin Premier A/S tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The seller notes that the dampers are weak.
The heated front sport seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in black leather with gray inserts, and they are complemented by body-color upper door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, aluminum pedal covers, black carpeted floor mats with gray piping, and a Monsoon AM/FM/cassette stereo as well as power windows, door locks, and mirrors. Photos show wear on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering is mounted on a height-adjustable column, and it sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a fuel-level gauge. The digital odometer indicates 47k miles.
