akyanyme - LesChampions

2014-15

LesChampions
akyanyme

During the World Cup tournament I included information on a website called akyanyme.com - . This time the group of talented artists have got a Facebook page called LesChampions and they have created many stickers of Champions League players in a wide variety of different styles. Each of the five images I've reproduced have been created by different artists. If they ever did Cardiff City players I'd have to add prints of them to my collection.
Perhaps, one day, someone will take the bold step of actually producing a real album to hold their stickers.

Crack (Argentina) - Golazo

1965

Golazo
Crack
Argentina
Unknown number

Ioannis has sent in scans of both sides of this Pele card...

I attach a card of Pele from a series issued in Argentina in 1965 by Crack. The series was called “Golazo”. I wonder if you have any more info about this series? I know it was a multi-sport series, it was issued in Argentina during 1965 and included athletes from various sports including football, tennis, basketball and boxing, mostly from Argentina. The few international stars included, besides Pele, were Alfredo Di Stefano, Luis Suarez and Jair. It would be great to find a checklist. Maybe you or any of your readers have it?
I don't have any information at all. Can anyone help?

V.C.C. - Sportsmen and Other Notabilities III ~ Uppercase

1922
VAA-030 Sportsmen and Other Notabilities III ~ Uppercase
V.C.C., 71 Roman Road, London, E3
72 cards (24 Footballers)

These cards appear to be from a third third version of the V.C.C. cards where the typeface used for the name and team of the player is in uppercase characters and are very similar to that used on the 24 Film Star cards that appear on numbers 49 to 72 in the numbered series. I only have illustrations of a couple of these so far and the typeface is very different to that used on the Barratt cards.

V.C.C. - Sportsmen and Other Notabilities II ~ Unnumbered

1922
VAA-030 Sportsmen and Other Notabilities II ~ Unnumbered
V.C.C., 71 Roman Road, London, E3
72 cards (24 Footballers)

I have decided to start a new post showing the unnumbered cards that I have illustrations of, in the same order in which the numbered cards are shown in previous posts. This on-going series will only show the cards that are identical to the numbered series but are just missing the number on the front.
There is a third version of the V.C.C. cards where the typeface used for the name and team of the player is very similar to that used on the 24 Film Star cards that appear on numbers 49 to 72 in the numbered series. I only have illustrations of a couple of these and they'll be added to the blog later today.

V.C.C. - Sportsmen and Other Notabilities (9)

1922
VAA-030 Sportsmen and Other Notabilities
V.C.C., 71 Roman Road, London, E3
72 cards (24 Footballers)

I have now stripped this listing down to just the 24 footballers and I've removed the illustrations of the unnumbered cards. I will be compiling a new post showing all the unnumbered cards that I have illustrations of, in the same order in which the numbered cards are shown here.
You can check out the previous posts relating to the V.C.C. cards - http://cartophilic-info-exch.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/V.C.C.
Once we discover the card numbers for the two included at the end of the checklist, there will only be one more card to find.
UPDATE (06/02/2015):  The final name has been added to the 24 footballers in this collection, but numbers are still needed for three of them. Thanks to Peter in Poland.
