Popular local halal eatery Badoque Cafe gets copy-pasted in Malaysia without permission

Badoque Cafe’s a pretty awesome place to get your meat fix in epic proportions — nobody leaves their two outlets at Bedok and Upper Thomson unsatisfied after feasting on lamb shanks, beef ribs and of course, the divine Badoque Tomahawk.

Proving to be a hit among the Malay-Muslim community (it’s all halal), it’s only expected that they might branch out across the borders. The thing is, the Badoque Cafe found in Pasir Gudang wasn’t even opened by its original purveyors. In other words, someone had the gall to copy Badoque’s name and branding and pasted it somewhere in Malaysia. They’ve even got the same exact logo, font and decor concept on — except the imitation store has its logo in orange instead of the original green.

“Clearly, orange is NOT the new black,” the original Badoque Cafe management wrote on their Facebook page.

Only go for the sure things folks.
