Free agent SG Joe Harris has agreed to a four-year, $75 million deal to return to the Brooklyn Nets, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday night. Harris is arguably the best 3-point shooter in the NBA and will join a Nets roster featuring Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant heading into 2020-21. Brooklyn has championship aspirations and Harris will provide plenty of floor spacing.

We hadn’t heard much on Harris going anywhere but back to Brooklyn. I think briefly we saw some reports saying the Hawks might go after Harris. Atlanta ended up landing Danilo Gallinari, which the Hawks are most likely happy about. Harris back in Brooklyn is a good sign for the Nets. As I said above, he’s one of the premier 3-point shooters in the NBA. Harris led the league in 3PT% in 2018-19 at 47.4 percent. He followed that up by shooting 42.4 percent last season.
Harris could be a sneaky fantasy basketball asset in deeper leagues. The Nets could opt to start Harris next to Kyrie Irving in the backcourt. It’s between Harris and Caris LeVert. New coach Steve Nash could opt to bring LeVert off the bench as a 6th man for scoring. Harris makes more sense since you’d want the 3-point shooting in the starting lineup if Nash is going to duplicate Mike D’Antoni’s offense in Brooklyn.
