TV Article 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' cast to celebrate 40th anniversary at Tribeca Film Festival By Megan Daley Published on March 11, 2015 03:39PM EDT Monty Python – The Meaning of Life, the feature-length documentary that provides a look into the 2014 Python reunion shows in London, is set make its international debut at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, the Festival announced Wednesday. The Monty Python cast will be on hand to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Monty Python and the Holy Grail with a special screening along with other Python classics. The documentary, directed by Roger Graef and James Rogan, provides audiences with unique access into preparation for the final Python live show, along with an exploration into the history of this legendary comedy group. Python members John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin will come together for a presentation of Monty Python and the Holy Grail on Friday, April 24 at The Beacon Theatre. Monty Python’s Life of Brian will be shown on April 25 and Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life on April 26. Following each screening, there will be a special Q&A with several cast members. “The Pythons are looking forward very much to the Tribeca Film Festival and the chance to meet anyone who can remember why we made Monty Python and The Holy Grail,”said Michael Palin in a release. “All we know is that it was a documentary about coconuts that rather lost its way. If anyone at Tribeca can explain why we made it and didn’t call it Braveheart then our visit to New York will not have been wasted.” Tickets for the Monty Python and the Holy Grail screening go on sale March 23 and are available here. The Tribeca Film Festival is set for April 15-26.
