Magneti Marelli offers KERS to F1 for $1 million

Magneti Marelli would offer its KERS system to Formula 1 teams at a price of one million dollars per season.

The Sesto San Giovanni company, part of the Fiat Group and specialized in electronic systems, was involved in the development of the kinetic energy recovery and reuse technology used by Ferrari last season.

In recent weeks it has become known that Sauber, which already uses Ferrari engines, is evaluating the use of Magneti Marelli's KERS for next year, as is Red Bull, whose Renault engine engineer has already used the company's system Italian in 2009.

Toro Rosso, Virgin, Lotus and HRT could also fit the same KERS.
