Director Statement

I do a lot of horror-adjacent work (some have called it "everyday horror") and when I heard that there were actually communities online that encouraged people to engage in anorexia and bulimia, it shocked and scared me. From this idea I got the initial haunting image of two emaciated young girls on the brink of destruction. Due to the subject matter and youth of the main actresses, this was a very female-heavy project, from the film's initial supporters, to the cast and crew.
