Career Summary

A storied career not only at Wake Forest but in the entire ACC and national landscape that included an ACC record 110 touchdown passes which also ranks in the top 20 in FBS history. Additionally he has thrown for the second-most yards in ACC history and his 12,967 career passing yards ranks in the top 20 in FBS history…Holds the program record in career completions, attempts, total touchdowns and total yards while ranking in the top three in ACC history in each category and ranks in the top-25 nationally in total touchdowns and total yards...Hartman has tossed for 21 career 300-yard passing games, marking the most in ACC history and he also holds single-season records in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions, attempts, yards per game, total yards and total touchdowns…Ended his Wake Forest career with 34 consecutive games with a touchdown responsible for which was the active career record and dated back to his 2020 campaign and was the active career leader in total touchdowns and touchdown passes…His historic six passing touchdowns against Clemson tied the most in a single game in ACC history…Only Wake Forest quarterback with three or more four-plus touchdown games in his career and he has done so on nine occasions and the only Wake Forest quarterback to have five or more passing touchdowns in multiple games doing so four times in his career...In 2021, he became just the third ACC quarterback in history to account for 50 total touchdowns in a single season…In 2020, held a streak of 258 passes without throwing an interception dating back to the 2019 season, a Wake Forest program record and the fifth longest in ACC history...Became the first Wake Forest true freshman quarterback to win a season-opener against Tulane in 2018….Ranked second in program history in quarterback wins with 27 in his career, trailing just Riley Skinner who finished his career with 31.

He was named the award winner after working his way back to the field after being diagnosed with Paget-Schroetter syndrome (effort thrombosis)…Named a finalist for the Manning Award…Listed as a top-10 finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award…Chosen as a Jason Witten Man of the Year Semifinalist…Placed on the Semifinalist list for the Davey O’Brien Award…Garnered Third Team All-ACC honors from the league, coaches and media…Two-time ACC Quarterback of the Week, Davey O’Brien Great 8 and Manning Star of the Week (Sept. 12 and Oct. 24)...Earned MVP honors at the Gasparilla Bowl, only player in program history to earn two bowl MVP honors…Threw for multiple touchdowns in nine games, three or more touchdowns in seven games and four or more in five games…Recorded eight games of 300 or more passing yards, becoming the first ACC quarterback to have 20 or more 300-yard passing games in a career…Tossed for 1,395 yards over the final four games of the regular season, throwing for over 320 yards in each contest…Threw a historic six passing touchdowns against Clemson tying the most in a single game in ACC history and is the 10th player in conference history to throw for six touchdowns in a single game.
