How do I tune the radio?
There is a tuning knob located on the right side of the unit.
I cannot get the CD player to function?
Please make sure you have move the source selector switch in the rear to CD/LINE IN
Why is the track number on the display of my GPX player blinking two dashes (--) instead of playing a CD?
The CD may not be inserted correctly so make sure the label side should be facing toward you. The CD may also be scratched or dirty. Use a CD repair kit available at your local electronics supplier or use a soft linen cloth or a store-purchased cloth meant for disc cleaning.
Will it play songs from a MP3/WMA disc?
No, your GPX player can not recognize these types of files on your recordable CD. Make sure that the files on your CD-R are in the CDA (uncompressed) format rather than the .mp3 or .wma (compressed) format.
I placed batteries but the unit is not turning on. What can I do?
The boombox would need an initial charge. After placing 6 of size C batteries, plug the boombox for a few seconds and the unit will function without the adapter.

Great Radio/CD Player
I've had my unit for a little over 3 years. I use it for AM talk radio or plugging in my phone to use my old time radio stations. No super thumping bass to it. It fits on my shelf and super portable and easy on batteries. I do not play CDs all that often but when I do it does a great job.
I have to use reading glasses to read the radio dial. No biggie, it stays on one station mainly.
I am pleased with it and would be upset if something happened to it

Tinny sound
I bought two of these a few days ago for my kid's rooms. The design and size is compact and cute. Very simple, which is what we wanted. They like to listen to cd's when they go to sleep, so I put in their favorite CD and it was like listening to an AM station, a very hollow tinny sound. I didn't even try the radio, so I can't say anything for that, but we bought it specifically for the CD player, so that's what we tired. I read a lot of reviews, whoever said it had good sound quality is very mistaken. I will be returning both immediately for something with better sound.

I bought this to play nursery rhyme CD's for my son. It works well and is easy to use. It is a nice bonus that it also has FM radio.

Perfect Radio for Kids!
My daughter loves Laurie Berkner. She had a bunch of her cd’s but couldn’t listen to them independently as most CD players have gotten a bit complicated. I should mention my daughter is autistic so finding products she can use by herself can be a challenge. This simple to use boombox completely compliments her understanding and she loves using it. She can change disc’s and operate the functions fully independently. I LOVE THIS BOOBOX! My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner. Her room is a party palace now and she is smiling so much more then I have ever seen her do. I would pay double for this kind of result. Thank You GPX for keeping it simple. I’d give 100 stars if I could.

Very good considering the low price
This is a good CD player for the $20 price I paid. The sound quality is good enough for me. The on/off switch is in the back and that switch also controls CD/AM/FM so it is trickey to find the right spot on the switch. I definitely would not recomment this product if you want to use it as a radio since changing stations is not digital and it is hard to read the dial to select the station I want. It would be ok if you always listen to one station and could leave the dial positioned on that station all the time.

Great for basic needs
I bought this yesterday at Fred Meyer because I needed something basic to play some CDs from the library. This was marked down because the box was a little torn.
It was exactly what I needed. I was surprised that there was no output or Bluetooth for headphones or separate speakers but for my needs that didn’t matter.
It is light plastic and as basic as you can get! Not for outside use or for traveling. The sound quality is good enough for an audio book but I wouldn’t recommend it for music. I would not have bought it at full price but overall it is just what I needed in a pinch.

Easy to work for my not so techy elderly dad
My 69 year old father lives in assisted living facility due to complications caused from COVID. I have a 13 year old son with autism who needs his Momma. Needless to say, it’s been difficult leaving my dad somewhere because I can’t provide “nursing facility” care. Music has always meant everything to him. We tried an IPad, IPhone, you name it, we tried it. Eventually we learned that he was never going to learn the new tech stuff… he needed something that was simple. So it was back to a boombox with ACTUAL cds ( something my 13 can’t even fathom)…. And back to a flip phone. He isn’t so frustrated anymore. Listening to his music with his boombox and rocking the flip phone. Sometimes simple is the best!!!

Easy to operate and great sound.
I purchased this item to keep in the kitchen which is where I spend a great deal of time. So easy to operate a child can do it. My four year old great granddaughter watched me operate it one time and now turns it on/off and loads the cds for me. She loves picking out music for Nana to listen to and for she and I to dance around the kitchen to. The sound is awesome and I love the size of it. I have it sitting on the counter and it does not take up much space at all. I am so glad I purchased it.
