Make sure you have disconnected the 3.5mm line input as this will override the audio output of the CD player.

One advantage it has in comparison with all others is the ability to continue listening to a CD and not lose your place after pulling the plug with immediate and smooth transfer to the alternate power (6 "C" type batteries), Carry the still operating player to another room and plug it into another wall outlet without losing a second of the CD or having to hunt for your place. Unfortunately after seven months the player stopped working in the middle of a CD play and the LCD display began blinking "no" "no" "no" repeatedly. Nothing could get it to play CD's after this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bradford from Great value for a portable CD / radio I am visiting some family in the Florida Keys and had packed up a whole of CD's because my car's model year still had a player. I brought along a portable CD player, but had dropped it onto a hard surface when unpacking and it didn't play. As I was going to be here for two months and wasn't going to drive very much I was going to be without any way to hear my collection. Luckily an actual Radio Shack was located on a nearby Key and I was able to pick up a new GPX CD player / radio for an extremely reasonable price. That really solved my problem and now enjoying my music while sitting on an outside deck sipping a cool drink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kseniya from Sporty CD and Radio Boombox Got this CD/Radio boom box for my husband for X-mass but gave it to him early (today, Thanksgiving) because I missed listening to the variety of Xmass music on the radio like we used to. We had other ways to listen to it, but just wasn't same as old fashioned way, on a radio. This boom box sounds amazing! Xmass music is so clear! No problem of antenna not picking up the station like our old one, we are both so very happy with it and I'm so happy I gave it to him early! He can also use it when he goes fishing, or when he's outside in the backyard BBQing or sitting aorund the firepit. Couldn't be more pleased!

I wish I had because this is the 3rd gpx item I've purchased that doesn't work. I had it for 6 months and had never used it. Today I tried to play cd and the only thing I kept getting was no no no it was brand new.called the company and was told to clean the lens even though it's never been used and that i f that doesn't work I can get a replacement for a fee. Their warranties are only 90 days. I know I should have tried it when I got it but like I said it was brand new. So lesson learned I will never purchase another gpx item. There warranties are too short and their products are not very good. And I did clean the lens but still saying no no no

I didn't expect much but I was COMPLETELY surprised by how great this portable CD/Radio player is!!! The cord can get tucked neatly below inside the battery compartment which is fantastic for not losing or damaging it. It was all about the sound for me! I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and range it had. I've had my share of portable players but the sound was always the sacrifice of being portable but not with this one! SO HAPPY with this CD player!

I couldn't be more pleased with the size and light weight of this boom box. the sound quality is great and the volume goes up really loud and the music still stays clear. I like the way the ac adapter gets hidden in the battery chamber on the bottom of the box. love the color too, it's more like a crimson color and not red. I was very pleased with the color because I'm not to fond of red...the radio stations come in so clear and the CD player works well also. I am just so in love with my boom box and is one of my best purchases by far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lainey from Nice features it has. Nice size. Just bought this GPX CD/Radio Boombox yesterday at Meijer. So far I like it. Playing some country music I like. This here radio was bigger and better into Meijer than Walmart store has. Same brand type just there's is smaller and same cost. This is bigger to see when looking for radio stations especially. Haven't played any cd's yet. Just the right size for me living in a mobile home. The dials are very slick when truing into a radio station. Love it so far. I do not have no pictures to show this radio I have boughten.
