Akshay Kumar is often accused of aligning himself with right-wing politics, and on the other hand, his wife, Twinkle Khanna, has criticised the government on several occasions.
In a recent interview with ANI, Akshay Kumar shared his secret to "live happily." He said that he doesn't discuss politics with his wife, Twinkle. He stated that his wife's political views are different from his, and they both don't impose them on each other.
Akshay added that they try to avoid such discussions because he feels that there is no point in doing that. He said, "You know the other person thinks that way, and I think in a different way."

Akshay added that people say that to live happily, one shouldn't keep anything 'under the carpet' (hide anything from their partners). He added, "I say sometimes it is important to do that because there is no solution to it. Keep it under the carpet and live happily."
