Pueraria phaseoloides
Syn.: Neustanthus phaseoloides, Pueraria javanica
Common: puero, tropical kudzu
A leguminous creeper used as ground cover in rubber and oil palm plantations. Such legume covers keep down the soil temperature during summer; they suppress the weeds and help in the proper utilization of fertilizers applied to the plants.
But now it is a noxious weed in USA.
