Juan Guillermo Cuadrado

Juan Guillermo was born in Necoclí, a town in the department of Antioquia hit by violence in the 90s. When he was only four years old, he lost his father as a result of violence. A few years later, his mother, Marcela Bello, enrolled him in a soccer school, and in order to pay the monthly fee, he went to work in Apartadó, leaving the little boy with his uncles. On weekends, she returned to Necoclí to be with her son and finish high school at night.

He started at Club Atlético Urabá and later became part of the Rionegro de la Primera B de Colombia, and after his good performance with Deportivo Independiente Medellín at the age of 20.
