Bliss Animal Eye Care says a cheetah cub will travel almost 100 miles to Medford for immediate medical care.

Atlas is a 3-month-old cheetah cub from Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon. Veterinarians at Wildlife Safari said he had sudden eye swelling last week. In spite of local care, the cub's eye continued to worsen.

Wildlife Safari's head veterinarian contacted Dr. Bliss in Medford, who often donates time and expertise to help Wildlife Safari.

Dr. Bliss' team says it is ready for the cub to arrive in Medford Tuesday for his eye exam.

“The safety of this cub is of the utmost importance,” says Dr. Bliss, “we are hopeful we will be sending him back to his mom with an eye that feels much better soon!”
