Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery

Great free place to take the kids, mine loved it! Takes you back to the mining days and how families used to live, makes you appreciate what you've got. The surrounding gardens and park make this an ideal place to spend a sunny afternoon with a picnic, Free entry makes this even better!

Another one of those hidden gems in Merthyr, but this time part of the cyfartha castle Museum which in itself is worth a visit. The cafe on ground floor level at rear. Very delightful, good coffee tea and quality food off the menu. Have used it several times taking visitors. Highly recommend.
