A local Mexican restaurant in Harlem and one to visit if you are around!! The prices , the service , and the FOOD!! Amazing! The bistec a la mexicana was my favorite dish , full of flavor , tender meat and a yellow rice cooked to perfection. The torta was a staple and also a must try. The mole was good as well but if there's anything you should try is the bistec a la mexicana!
Definitely will be back !Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 17, 2022Previous reviewI have tried so many things from this spot, it's a good place to come get a quick bite ! The grilled chicken was good not dry and tender , their Mexican rice is really good and the beans I would say average m. The bistec, now that is worth coming for it was tender and filled with flavor! The mole was good a little more of the sweeter side if that's something you like . The service was great !

I always order from here the chilaquiles they are very tasty and not expensive you get to choose your choice of protein and it comes with a fried egg. Love the chilaquiles the salads are okay when I order them for delivery they have so much dressing that it's soggy. My to go to for chilaquiles.

This place is small, and the vibe is very casual, but don't let that fool you since people really turn up here during the happy hour. We came in on a Friday for the happy hour, and it was a lot of fun. They have good drink specials for the happy hour and the food was great. I ordered the cecina quesadilla, and it was very yummy and filling. The rest of the group ordered main dishes, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food.
The service was awesome! Our server was friendly and attentive, and they brought us shots since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. I would recommend it if you're looking for a fun casual Mexican spot.Helpful 5Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 7, 2023
Local spot in the neighborhood and had happy hour on a Sunday. The drinks were tasty and strong and we only had two each. The service was attentive and made sure we were okay, as we outside. The inside seems quiet with a and and tv screens with sports on. We would definitely consider trying food the next time we walk by

Great lunch spot. Honestly there are lots of times I'm looking to find a local spot over a chain. The chain is great but smaller mom and pops offer something a little different.
This place is a great alternative to a chain Mexican place. I will say the seasoning on the chicken which yes can be messed up was on point here I appreciate that. I the portion was perfect for lunch and I requested no sour cream and I got exactly what I asked for which I also appreciate.
Definitely ordering here again!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ash S.New York, NY221604Sep 29, 2023

The food was fantastic and fresh. We started with the guacamole and chips, which was fabulous, the avocado was perfectly ripe and the seasoning was perfect, the avocado flavor really came through. For dinner had the Carnitas enchiladas and the shrimp sopes. Both were excellent. The pork was perfectly crispy and layered with cojita cheese and sour cream. My shrimp sopes, were cooked to perfection and delicious on the bed of beans and corn. Such a fantastic dinner.

The service here is great. They understand and speak English which is really helpful for non Spanish speakers. The food is delicious and always fresh. I order on line or come in person. I am always satisfied. They follow instructions to ensure that you get what you want. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and chill setting an ambiance that welcomes everyone. I would recommend and will always return.
