"I'm sure that the Brazilian national team will give its best to win at home, in front of its supporters. It will not lack dedication, enthusiasm and effort. I hope I can be in shape and playing well enough to be part of the team that will fight to become unprecedented three-time Olympic champions."

I first became aware of my hero when I saw Sheilla Castro compete with others in the 2012 Olympics. I was about 12 years old and since then I have been in love with volleyball. I have now been playing for 2 years. I started at a recreational league and kept improving. Afterwards, I started playing with0020a club team. This past fall...I made the high school volleyball team. I was inspired my hero Sheilla Castro. She is very talented, and she just stood out from others. The way she plays is just breathtaking. Every ball she hits perfectly slams down. The things that attract me about her is that she never gives up. Sheilla works hard, she is known for the two-time Olympic champion. Another thing that I like is when she has one goal, she strides to accomplish it, Sheilla never stops. I want to become as good as Sheilla Castro one day!

Volleyball is a sport that can be professional job. A relevant college major would be to become a professional volleyball player is a Health and Physical Education/Fitness General. Jobs that are related to becoming a professional volleyball players are athletic trainers or head coaches. They both can deal with the arithmetic and skills of a specific sport and understands the background of the game. The salary of this job ranges is about $69,000 a year. Professional athletes face hours of training, conditioning and practicing. They travel a lot and are constantly competing. The future outlook shows other people how fun it is and that you can do it yourself if you work hard just as they do. You will not automatically be amazing, because that kind of magic takes hard work and practice. While searching the retirement age for volleyball players, it states that it's different for everyone. An example of a retired athlete would be Misty May Treanor, she retired from her volleyball career at the age of 35. Many athletes play up to 30 years or some go to 10 years. It depends on your compassion and dedication.

Sheilla is born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Sheilla is a positive, talented, and a hard worker. Castro teaches this example that we should work hard and I would like people to become just like her, so that they shouldn't give up on what is important. They shouldn't regret something that they would love to do. Sheilla had done what she does the best she can to succeed. Sheilla strives for a win, an accomplishment to become proud of herself. Since she had done this she has won 2 gold medals in the Olympics. One in 2008 Summer Olympic Games and another in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. This proves if you put the time and effort into something, that hard work will pay off with something great.

I believe my personal career hero's work ethics affects her teammates. What I have learned from her, you should not give up, stay strong. If you mess up it's all right, at least you did your best job trying. Hopefully, you'll have supporters that will help you succeed. If you try then it will benefit you. An anonymous quote I found applies to Castro: "There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory". This passage means without going 100% in practice you will not learn anything. You will not exceed the goal in your dreams. If you fight for it you will achieve. Something for you at the end road waits for you, with something that will benefit you. Don't give up, just do it.

There are many steps that will help me become just like Sheilla Castro. There aren't many classes that I could take in high school except to be on the volleyball team. It will help me improve my skill and help me enjoy it even more. Just like her I will give all my strength and power into a game, it will help me play with confidence and please me with skills. When I go to a university my major can be Health and Physical Education/Fitness General but, I haven't decided yet. My whole goal is to work hard and achieve my goals. The college I'm aiming for is UC San Diego or UCLA. I will try my best to get into these schools. I'm inspired by the quote that my hero has said. She describes the game, the effort and compassion. Sheilla puts in 100% dedication she puts in. Every game is spent equally in a great positive way. Every game, she gives her all.
