NMSU to host 38th annual ‘Noche de Luminarias’ Dec. 3

New Mexico State University will host the 38th annual “Noche de Luminarias,” or “Night of Lights,” from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3.

Luminarias will be displayed throughout the Las Cruces campus for all to enjoy, starting at the Pan American Center and down the International Mall to the Horseshoe. The luminarias will illuminate walking paths and there will be family friendly activities at the Pan Am Center, Corbett Center Student Union and NMSU Bookstore. Free trolley rides will be available to transport members of the community to their desired locations.

At the Corbett Center, there will be a Santa letter writing station, and participants can decorate cookies and enjoy free hot chocolate and cider from 5 to 8 p.m. Participants also have the opportunity to take photos with Santa from 6 to 8 p.m.

There will also be free hot chocolate and cider from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck at the NMSU Bookstore. At the Pan Am Center, there will be live music, a holiday craft market, concessions and an appearance from the Grinch.

The event is a collaborative effort between the Student Involvement and Leadership Programs, Associated Students of NMSU, Corbett Center, Pan Am Center, NMSU Bookstore, American Indian Programs and the Las Cruces High School Band.
