Jennifer Gates and her husband Nayel Nassar are looking forward to being proud parents.
Gates, the daughter of Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates, and her hubby announced on Instagram on Thanksgiving they were expecting their first child.
The couple, married for a year, signaled they were expecting with the caption “thankful” along with emojis of a green heart and baby bottle.
One posted photo shows the happy couple posing as Gates holds her baby bump and another photo just shows her looking down and holding her tummy.
Gates, 26, and Nasser, 31, celebrated their wedding at her Westchester County horse farm last October after almost four years of dating.
Both are equestrians, with Nasser competing in the Olympics.
“Horses are just one part of our life, but we love the sport,” Gates, the owner of Evergate Stables, told CNN’s EQ equestrian show in 2019, according to People.
“He’s a professional, and I do this as an amateur. So, to be able to share our love and passion for horses with each other is just incredible,” the Stanford grad added.
Gates called Nasser “one of a kind” in a January 2020 Instagram post in which they announced their engagement.
“Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions,” she captioned the snowy photo of the happy couple.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over,” the elated fiancée added.
Nasser also posted images of the proposal on his own account.
“SHE SAID YES!!” he wrote.
“I’m feeling like the luckiest (and happiest) man in the world right about now,” he wrote. “Jenn, you are everything I could have possibly imagined..and so much more. I can’t wait to keep growing together through this journey called life, and I simply can’t imagine mine without you anymore.
“Love you more than you can possibly imagine, and thank you for making every single day feel like a dream to me. Here’s to forever!” Nasser added.
In addition to Jennifer, Bill and Melinda are also parents to son Rory, 23, and daughter Phoebe, 20.
The couple divorced in August 2021 after 27 years of marriage.
“Every marriage as the kids leave the house will go through a transition,” Bill told The Sunday Times in May. “Mine sadly went through this transition called divorce. But from my point of view, it was a great marriage. I wouldn’t have changed it. You know, I wouldn’t choose to marry someone else,” the tech billionaire added.
Last year, it was revealed that Bill had a lengthy affair with a Microsoft staffer in 2000 — and that he reportedly asked out several women in the office while he was married.
Melinda later admitted that his association with now-deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein played a role in her decision to leave him.
TMZ recently reported that Melinda is dating hunky former TV anchor Jon Du Pre – her first love reboot since splitting from the Microsoft co-founder.
Last month, she admitted that her divorce had been “unbelievably painful,” blaming unspecified “reasons” that she “just couldn’t stay in that marriage anymore.”
