Heidi Montag picks an addiction to plastic surgery as this week’s reason why you should care about her

Now that her feuds with Lauren Conrad, Al Roker, label-ripping jungle mates and reality have just become white noise to the world, Heidi Montag is pumping up the volume — as well as her breast & lips — by claiming she’s “addicted” to plastic surgery.

“For the past three years, I’ve thought about what to have done,” she tells People Magazine. “I’m beyond obsessed.” So in an effort to find the best version of herself, Heidi is undergoing ten plastic surgery procedures in one day. It’s like the “Double Dare” obstacle course for surgery!

The irony of her admission is that this pending decathlon of self improvement won’t actually tackle the ugliest thing about Heidi: her insides. And while we’re on the subject, what doctor worth his diploma would actually perform ten serious surgeries in one afternoon? You know, besides Dr. Spaceman.

Oh, but it gets better, kids — not only is Heidi addicted to plastic surgery, but she’s broke too! Interestingly the two are unrelated. According to a new interview she’s given to Entertainment Weekly (and this is a slow week in Pratt PR-ville), the cost of producing “Superficial,” her debut CD, has left and her husband Spencer penniless (also scrupleless, but that’s another conversation).

“I’ve spent almost $2 million on this album. It’s cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album, because I wanted it to be that quality and to be able to get those people,” she says, adding, “I think within the first week we will definitely make our money back. The songs will make an impact in pop history.”

Oh, she also asserts that “Superficial” is just as good if not better than Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” But she only thinks that because everyone keeps telling her how “Bad” she is.
