Jeffrey Dean Morgan goes into detail about delivering his kids

Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivered both of his and Hilarie Burton‘s children … and he’s not eager to ever do that again.

“I thought I was just there to lend support, hold a leg,” Morgan, 52, told Howard Stern on Monday. “As soon as the baby started crowning, they kind of just pushed me in there. The first one, Gus, I kind of waited too long to pull him out and he came out and his head was shaped like a cone. He got stuck in no man’s land a little bit too long.”

When daughter George Virginia was born in March, the “Rampage” star was on hand once more, but this time he was better prepared.

“I was ready and as soon as she crowned, I grabbed her a little by the cheeks and I pulled her out,” he said. “Perfect!”

Morgan also revealed that Burton, 35, declined an epidural for both births.

While the couple are incredibly happy to be parents, Morgan revealed that he’s getting a vasectomy soon.

“Kids? Oh God, no. We’re tapping out,” he said. “I’m 52! Two is perfect. A boy and a girl. We tried since Gus was born to have another and hit a rough go … lost a couple. It was an emotional ride. So now we have our little girl. We’re done.”

Burton previously discussed her and Morgan’s fertility struggles and miscarriages in a moving Instagram post last month.

“When this pregnancy started, we were cautious,” Burton wrote. “I didn’t want to celebrate for fear of jinxing it. I didn’t want a baby shower. I checked her heartbeat every day, up until the day she was born. And now that she is here, I just stare at her in wonder all day.”
