Liza Minnelli quietly selling off Andy Warhol paintings

Liza Minnelli is lucky no one bought her Andy Warhol collection two years ago — she’ll end up much richer by selling off the paintings one by one.

A source in Switzerland reports one of Minnelli’s 22 Warhols — a silk-screen of her mother Judy Garland — was just sold by Pace Gallery for $7 million to an unnamed buyer.

It was one of three portraits of Judy in Liza’s collection, which also includes four portraits of herself and three of her father Hollywood director Vincente Minnelli.

I reported two years ago that Liza was asking $40 million for the entire collection, trying to sell it quietly by appointment only.

“Liza should be happy no one closed a deal then, because the collection is worth way more now,” one dealer told me. The highest price ever paid for a Warhol is $105.4 million for “Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster).”

Many of the Warhols decorated the East 69th Street apartment Minnelli sold in 2015 before moving to Beverly Hills.

The 72-year-old last acted on “Arrested Development” in 2013, and her most recent solo concert was in 2015.

But Minnelli is up on the news. She went on Facebook this week to refute a Radar Online story alleging she was bonding with Renée Zellweger, who is playing Liza’s mom in the upcoming film “Judy.”

Minnelli huffed, “I do not approve nor sanction the upcoming film about Judy Garland in any way.”
