Darien's Ellery Hollingsworth Takes First Podium of the Season
According to a report on Utahskiieronline.com, Hollingsworth took third place following Saturday's half pipe event.
resident and professional snowboarder Ellery Hollingsworth reportedly took third place in the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix at Mammoth Mountain on Saturday — her first podium of the season.
“So psyched to be on the podium at the Mammoth Grand Prix with @elenahight (Elena Hight) and @kaitlynfarr (Kaitlyn Farr)!” Hollingsworth, 20, wrote in a Tweet on Sunday. “Everyone rode well!”

Hollingsworth was for her accomplishments as a snowboarder.
In 2009, she became the first female to land a 1080 in a Superpipe. What’s more she was named rookie of the year in 2006 at the US Open of Snowboarding Championship.
