Bill Gates has enjoyed spending time with his children this year.

In his annual year-end blog post, the Microsoft co-founder looked back at some of his top memories of 2023, including one particularly memorable experience he shared with his youngest child, daughter Phoebe Gates.

“It’s been a special joy to watch my children grow up to become invaluable sources of wisdom in their own right,” Gates, 68, wrote in the blog post. “One of the highlights of my year was sharing the stage with Phoebe, my youngest, at the foundation’s Goalkeepers event.”

In September, Phoebe attended and moderated a panel at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's Goalkeepers Foundation in New York City.

The 21-year-old Stanford University student, who has used her prominent family's platform to advocate for a variety of issues — including reproductive rights — discussed entrepreneurship, agency and gender equity with Karlie Kloss and author Kathryn Finney during a panel she moderated.

Afterwards, her dad shared a sweet shout-out on his Instagram Story, writing that she "did a remarkable job speaking about the importance of women's power."

In Tuesday's blog post, the billionaire also spread the love for his two other children — Jennifer Gates, 27, and Rory Gates, 24 — whom he shares with ex-wife Melinda French Gates.

“I can always count on all three of my kids to keep me up to date on how young people see the world— and on the latest TikTok trends,” he wrote. "I’m looking forward to spending the holidays with them and recharging a bit.”

Gates added, “When I was my kids’ age, I didn’t believe in vacations or weekends. But as I got older —and especially since I became a father — I realized there is more to life than work.”

Elsewhere in the global philanthropist’s letter, he offered his perspective on a number of topics, including artificial intelligence, global health, climate change and nuclear energy.

As for what he'll remember most about this year, Gates said 2023 will be remembered as a time when he “spent a lot of precious time with loved ones” and embraced the latest technology.

"For me, this will always be the year I became a grandparent,” Gates wrote about the birth of daughter Jennifer's first child.

“And 2023 marked the first time I used artificial intelligence for work and other serious reasons, not just to mess around and create parody song lyrics for my friends," he added.

As the note came to a close, he wrote, "I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful new year."
