I’ve created my own copy of Jammets’ painting of director Stanley Kurbrick (2009), working in photoshop. By doing this i’m exploring Jammet’s style, working out how he puts together paintings by taking one of them and recreating it.

I chose this artist as his style is a more colour based, with no real line art. The face is built up by the strokes of colour, with no real attempt to blend them together or make it smooth and airbrushed. I thought this would be a helpful style to explore for my final design, as the way I will build up the main characters face with clouds would be quite similar to this.
