The first trailer for a new Bob Marley biopic from King Richard director Reinaldo Marcus Green is here. Check it out below. Bob Marley: One Love stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, who learned to play guitar for the movie, in the titular role, with Lashana Lynch (of No Time to Die) as Rita Marley. The film focuses on the period after a 1976 assassination attempt on Marley, as he prepares to return to Jamaica in 1978 for the One Love Peace Concert. It’s due in theaters on Friday, January 12, 2024.
The reggae legend’s son Ziggy, daughter Cedella, and widow, Rita, produced the film alongside Robert Teitel.
