Terry Border is, without a doubt, one of the most creative human beings we’ve ever come across. It’s amazing how many awesome new artwork he continues to put out. Not only are his pieces great, his titles are so witty and funny, they really add the perfect touch.

He graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in Fine Art Photography in 1988. Then, because he wanted to be practical and not be an artist, he worked as a commercial photographer for many years photographing the most mind-numbingly, boring stuffs you can think of. If he would have worked harder, he could have gone on to photograph more exciting things,

In 2006 he started what he calls his Bent Objects project, mainly because all the other blog names were already taken. Basically, the project concerns adding wire to ordinary objects to help pose them as living characters, usually telling a story, and then photographing them. For some reason people liked it.

“I always knew that my weird point of view was my gift or perhaps a curse, so I’m glad I finally found a use for it,” Terry says. “As far as getting ideas, I simply try to amuse myself. I look at objects and wonder what they remind me of and then I create a sort of story about that. I have a good sense of humor. I like to laugh but I can’t tell a joke to save my life.”
