Ruellia amoena Red Christmas Pride, Wild Leaf Petunia, Tropical Monkey plant is a tropical perennial with unique foliage of dark green on top and deep burgundy underneath. This is a repeat bloomer with the little, 1-inch slender, red flowers beginning to bloom around Christmas time. They like full to part sun and don't mind growing in containers. Hardy in zones 9-11, but can be grown as annuals in cooler climates, or in containers to add a unique flair to your sun room.
