Erin's Fenrisúlfr

Description

The Fenrisúlfr are a relatively simple product of mixing canine genes with humans, designed to be fiercely strong in groups, making them perfect for close combat. However, due to the immense amount of energy these genes provided, they can never sit still quite long enough to heal, taking them much longer than the average person, even with their strong immunity. Their constant need to be approved by others can be seen as a negative initially, however once opinion improves, they can be amongst the happiest of colonists.

They will also have these Biotech genes
  • Slow Wound Healing
  • Fertile
  • Terrible Artistic
  • Strong Immunity
  • Strong Melee
  • Beardless

  • With Facial Animation, their custom heads won't work, they'll be reverted to vanilla. Not something I can fix. Check out this mod for any updates, as they could do it much better than me.

  • Why?
    - Why not. <3

  • Where do they spawn??
    - They will spawn in most vanilla factions, though with the Xenotype Spawn Control mod, you can put them wherever you want.

  • CE?
    - That's up to them.

  • I have a suggestion! I don't like this or this!
    - Great, put it in the comments, just don't be an ass about it or you'll be ignored!

  • I found a bug! Help?
    - Put it in the comments with a description of what's happening and a link to a Hugslib log. No log, no help!

  • 14/08/2023 - Initial release
  • 13/09/2023 - Fixed divide by zero error in PeoplePleaser

Pack strength hediff says that being in a pack provides "comfidence" and strength to all in it. Not a big deal, but I figured you'd wanna fix that typo next time you're planning to do a patch.

Your xenotypes are all great and definitely make up a significant portion of my favorites, by the way.

not at my computer at the moment, but I've posted this to troubleshoot elsewhere, let me know if it helps

@Legeden
- can u send me a log? With your save fully loaded and played on for a little while. Even if there's no errors it'll at least give us a mod list to go off

As I said, I'll be taking a look at it once I get some time. Busy with other stuff :)

I took a better look at it now and it seems that only a child is getting stuck with the despised. Positive relationship with everyone.

In the few days after a child and an adult just removed each other from their social values and the adult while having 3 of 4 other ppl in green is considering herself despised as well

- ... they shouldn't do o.o unless I forgot to upload the fix? I'll have to take a look at it when I get some time

I wonder, how exactly the Canine Instincts work. I have a small colony of 5 with the gene in a custom xenotype, they have each other at least in greens (apart from one that started with ex-husband on negative) and all of them apart a child have the despised trait.

I'll check it out.

So ummm, canine instincts lowers the maximum comfy temp by 10 degrees, but it doesn't also lower the minimum comfy temp by any degrees.... this isn't a problem if pawns are wearing clothes, but without clothes it gives them a comfy tempeture range of 0 degrees... since both become 16c

I have to say, playing this race in biome with temps reaching max around 30C, is nightmare:D (even 20C is too much for some of them) Especially with tribal run, where they don't have proper sun protection researched at the start. The constant heatstrokes are killing me!
But love my furry pack anyway, thanks!
