Charles Bridge – Karlův Most
Possibly Europe's most beautiful bridge
Word to the wise: Charles Bridge is a notorious hotspot for pickpockets, so keep a close eye on your belongings.

Undeniably beautiful, this medieval bridge is Prague's most photographed and visited sight for good reason. Constructed between 1357 and 1402, the bridge's rows of baroque statues and magnificent gothic towers at either end create a unique sense of drama and elegance, their romantic silhouettes against the sky one of Prague's most unforgettable images.
Couple this with the excellent views the bridge offers and its no wonder that Charles Bridge gets pretty busy with visitors, packed during the day with travellers, vendors, musicians and street artists. During the night, however, things are much calmer and quieter, while for the sleepless, the bridge at dawn might be the most stunning sight Europe can offer.
