Beautiful Fashion Illustrations by Tess

I’m a Toronto based fashion illustrator and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid I drew princess in beautiful dresses imagining what they would look like as part of my favourite fairy tales. Because of that I wanted to be a fashion designer but since I hate sewing I thought that could never happen. So I studied and worked in animation…but in my free time would always draw my own designs. Eventually I decided to give my own work a chance and share my art online. To my surprise my art resonated with some people and allowed me to turn my passion into a career.

I see my drawings as modern day princesses… strong, independent and fashionable women navigating their own modern day fairy tale. I guess in some ways I’m drawing the same thing I did as a kid. ~ @tess.laf
