Kumar is India’s busiest actor, who has proved himself to be a Bollywood fixture with rarely a misstep at the box office. The prolific star — who is one of the highest-paid actors in the world — has appeared in well over 100 films. During the pandemic, his horror-comedy “Laxmii” premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar and racked up big numbers for the service. It was followed last year by Aanand Rai’s musical romance “Atrangi Re,” also for the streamer. Meanwhile, the cop drama “Sooryavanshi” was the highest-grossing Hindi box-office hit of 2021. This year, the prolific Kumar released five films: “Prithviraj,” “Bachchan Pandey,” “Raksha Bandhan,” “Ram Setu” and “OMG 2.” The upcoming “The End” is a bit of a new beginning for Kumar, as the action series marks the actor’s Amazon Prime Video debut.
