Daniel Craig is an English actor, best known for playing James Bond in five installments of the iconic film series. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991, Craig began his career in acting, and had his first breakout role in the BBC’s drama series “Our Friends in the North” (1996). His star continued to rise with supporting roles in films such as the Cate Blanchett-starrer “Elizabeth” (1998), in which he played John Ballard; “Lara Croft: Tom Raider” (2001) as Alex West; “Road to Perdition” (2002) as Connor Rooney; “Layer Cake” (2004) as XXXX; and “Munich” (2005) as Steve.

In 2006, Craig made his debut as secret agent James Bond in “Casino Royale,” which earned him a BAFTA best actor nomination. Craig continued his stint as Bond for the next 15 years in “Quantam of Solace” (2008), “Skyfall” (2012), “Spectre” (2015) and “No Time to Die” (2021). He also continued to see success outside of the Bond franchise, scoring roles in films like “Cowboys & Aliens” (2011), “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” (2011), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (2015) and “Logan Lucky” (2017). In 2019, Craig starred as Detective Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson’s highly successful mystery film “Knives Out,” and reprised his role for the 2022 sequel “Glass Onion.” Both performances earned him Golden Globes nominations. Next, Craig will star in “Queer,” Luca Guadagnino’s buzzy romantic period drama about an American expat in Mexico City who becomes infatuated with a younger man.
