This essay is about Whisky considered to be favorite to millions of consumers, an old timer still buzzing as the centerpiece of uncountable social gatherings and a symbol of ‘masculinity’(Jackson & Dempster, 2009). The sweet taste of fermented mash, the exquisite tone of perfectly roasted malt and grains as the amber hue gives whisky an antique character which pairs dramatically well with foods and used as base of other beverages. The word whisky comes from the Celtic expression ‘Uisge beatha meaning water of life’(Bénitah, Bellier, & Dron, 2002; Stewart, Russell, & Anstruther, 2014). Then for the English that word was too long and hard to speak so they had to anglicized the word to Whisky as we know it today. (Forbes, 1970) It was the traveling monks who brought the distillation process along with them from Europe to Scotland. In addition, the earliest recorded production of alcohol traces back to 1300s century.
