- The most accessible entrance has a step, a slight ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and a manual door.
- This entrance is at the front left of the Guildhall.

- At the time of our visit the hearing assistance system was working.

Entrance (Tea Room)
- The entrance surveyed is located to the left as you face the Guildhall entrance.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The slight portable ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the step.
- Please contact any staff member for use of the portable ramp.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 86cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of more than 1.5cm.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a tea room which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, takeaway cutlery, a portable card machine for payment and large-handled cutlery.
- Lighting levels are varied.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- There is a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
- There is a counter over 85cm high without a tray rail.
- The counter is 92cm high.
- There is not a section of the counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

- There are tables and chairs without armrests available in the seating area.

Exit (Tea Room to Patio Seating)

Outdoor Seating Areas
- The following outdoor areas are available: patio.
- The surface of the outdoor seating area includes an uneven hard surface.
- Facilities in this area include: seats without armrests and a patio table.
- There is a seat at a suitable height for a wheelchair user to transfer.
- The surface height of the table is 75cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the tables is 69cm.
- There is ample room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre within the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
