Katy Perry Looks Totally Different With Her New Long, Sandy-Blonde Hair

The singer is truly a hairstyle chameleon.

Based on my very thorough, mostly (not at all) scientific research, I feel confident stating that all evidence points to the hair naturally attached to Katy Perry’s head being a platinum-blonde bob. (The platinum color may not be natural, but the hair that's been bleached is definitely growing out of her head.) But despite how fun that look is, the singer and American Idol host clearly loves to play around with wigs, extensions, and colors like the peachy-pink ponytail she recently wore on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the elaborate brunette and red wigs she wore for a Christmas music video in late 2019. And now, Perry is experimenting with a classic blonde-bombshell look.

Late on Saturday night, Perry shared a selfie on Instagram that showed her wearing a sandy blonde wig with slightly darker roots. The blown-out style had the loosest of waves, and it's impossible to tell just how long the look is because the crop of the photo cuts it off — it clearly reached well past her shoulders, though. The shortest layer up front, covering one of Perry's eyes, has lots of volume, partially created by the deep part.

"If you don’t love me at my pixie cut then you don't deserve me at my Goddess glow," Perry wrote in the caption, referring to the super-short hair she wore for much of 2018 and 2019.

Perry tagged stylist Jesus Guerrero, who often does her natural hair but is also known for working magic with wigs. Remember when Kylie Jenner cut her hair short recently and then immediately switched to a super-long bronde wig? Guerrero was responsible for both.

Despite how fabulous this long style is on Perry, we'll very likely see her in a totally different look within days. And why not? She looks amazing in everything she tries.
