I bought this as a historical curiosity. During the recent NYC mayoral primary campaign, we learned that Anthony "Five Percent" Weiner went by the pseudonym "Carlos Danger" while sexting bimbos. He got that from this book; it's Chuck Norris's legal name! Or, so it says.

Other than that, there's not much in the way of redeeming qualities. The author takes a Mad Libs approach to his subject: "Chuck Norris [verb] every [noun] in [proper noun]." Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Some hit their mark; most don't. I've always like the Chuck Norris facts floating around the internets, full of wit this book lacks.

The illustrations are very good.

As some other reviews have mentioned, this book would be a bad bet for kids.

This is a PARODY. Nothing in here is meant to offend anyone, it's a humor book! I picked this up the day it came out and have already read it two times...and both times my sides nearly split from laughter. Chuck knows about these books and has even talked to the author about them. I don't know why everyone is so up in arms over these jokes, it is only furthering the fame of a broken down action hero that every male in existence wanted to be at some point. Who didn't love Delta Force, or Enter the Dragon? Chuck Norris is awesome and I for one am glad that these books are out there, particularly with all the crappy stuff going on in the world.

I brought The Last Stand of Chuck Norris: 400 All New Facts About the Most Terrifying Man in the Universe with me on a road trip to pass some time in the car. During the 3 hour trip I read pages from the book and all of us laughed out loud. Facts about the Most Terrifying Man could be about anyone, but it is perfect when thinking of Chuck Norris. Ian Spector's style is unique and thought provoking. If you want to make a bad day good, or a friend smile buy this book!

I pre-ordered this book "The Last Stand of Chuck Norris" over a month ago for my 11 year old that is a huge Chuck Norris fan, however, that was a big mistake. PARENTS BEWARE - this book does contain ADULT CONTENT. For example: references to men's genitals and drawings of a partially nude females. Luckily I checked the book before giving it to her as a gift.

At Christmas time last year our daughter received "The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book" which she loves. It has funny quotes, drawings, stories and inspirational thoughts by Mr. Norris so I would give it 5 stars. Also, its cover clearly reads "approved by Chuck Norris" and is still available on Amazon. Unfortunately, this book ("The Last Stand of Chuck Norris") is not marked "Chuck Approved" which apparently is rather important if you have younger children around.

Amazon was great and due to the situation they are allowing me to return the book for a full refund.

If you are an adult and enjoy this type of adult humor, then this book ("The Last Stand of Chuck Norris") should be fine. On the other hand, if you are a parent then this is not a book for children or tweens. The "Official Chuck Norris Fact Book" would be a much better choice for Chucks younger fans - plus how could you go wrong since that book is Officially Chuck Norris Approved!
