The Oscar-nominated actress Juliette Lewis just dropped $1.499 million on a stunning three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom L.A. home that, though recently renovated and updated with modern flair, still maintains its breezy Mediterranean heritage. A full flight of exterior stairs leads up (and up and up) to the 2,475-square-foot home perched above a two-car garage in the trees of the Hollywood Hills, and, once inside, the interiors give way to a large living room replete with a white-brick fireplace, cathedral ceilings, and hardwood floors that run throughout the house. Also on the ground is a dining area and updated, almost totally white kitchen separated by a snack-bar peninsula, as well as a family room with enormous arched windows that look out onto the surrounding greenery outside.

In another wing off the living room are two guest bedrooms that share a white subway-tiled bathroom. The larger of the two features a serene solarium, while the smaller boasts French doors leading out to a brick-paved backyard that's notched into the hillside with a stucco retaining wall. The master suite, however, is designed for maximum privacy, as it's the only room that occupies the second floor and is comprised of a spacious bedroom with a fireplace and sitting area that opens to a small balcony; in the master bathroom, a two-person soaking tub sits beneath a picture window, while a separate shower and two walk-in closets fill out the rest of the space.

In addition to her new Hollywood Hills home, Lewis maintains a townhouse-style condominium in Burbank. At one time, she owned a midcentury home in the foothills above Studio City, which she sold to Miley Cyrus in 2011.
