Report: Juventus 'laughed' at FC Barcelona for asking about Paul Pogba

Reports from Itay suggest that Barça was a little embarrassed after reaching out to Juventus to ask for French midfield star Pogba

There's a popular saying in Brazil that goes "if you say what you want, you're going to hear what you don't want". It might be appropriate to describe what happened this weekend, when Barça officials reached out to Juventus to ask if French midfield star Paul Pogba was available for a transfer.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus directors "laughed" at it, saying immediately that Pogba is not available. The report also says that the Old Lady didn't even want to consider Barça's offer, completely ignoring any attempt of negotiation by Barcelona.

Pogba makes his debut for France this Sunday at the World Cup, and there's a lot of expectation surrounding his potential performance, as he is viewed as the next big football superstar. The 21-year-old had a breakout season for Juventus in 2014, scoring 7 goals in 36 appearances in the Serie A. Pogba is a tall, strong, yet super talented midfielder, with great field vision and pass accuracy. His buyout fee is currently set at £45 million.

A week ago, we reported that Juventus and Alexis Sánchez have reached a personal agreement, but Barça was not interested in negotiating. With this turn of events, it seems like this "laugh" could make Juventus cry if the Blaugrana take it personally and decide not to move on with the Alexis talks.

We just need to wait for the next chapter of 'Too Good to Be True - The Barcelona Offseason'. In every book store in the world, this summer.
