Kings of Leon are denying reports they are planning to sack their lead singer Caleb Followill.
The group, who are all family members, dismissed a report in US magazine Star that they were starting to "resent the frontman for his antics".
Drummer Nathan Followill, tweeted: "Breaking News. Kings of Leon has kicked Caleb out and Jared and Matt will be taking over lead vocals.
"Where do people come up with this? Hilarious."
Cancelled gigs
Earlier this month, the group were forced to cancel the remainder of their US tour after Caleb walked off stage unexpectedly, blaming it on exhaustion.
Fans in Dallas were left disappointed after the singer, who denied being drunk, claimed he couldn't finish the gig.
He said: "I'm trying to sing but I haven't got a voice, I've got nothing."
Speaking to the crowd the band's bassist Jared said: "I don't know what to say. It's not our fault. It's Caleb. He can't play."
They pulled out of a gig in at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas, the following night.
The official reason was due to Caleb Followill suffering from "heat exhaustion and dehydration".
On announcement of that news, his brother, Jared tweeted: "I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie.
"There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."
He'd already apologised to fans on the social networking site after the Dallas gig and said: "I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am.
"There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed."
The gig at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has been rescheduled for September.
