Two years after splitting with Matthew Barney (and three months after releasing Vulnicura, an album that painted him in a less-than-flattering light), Bjork‘s spat with her former partner has entered the legal system.
Matthew Barney filed suit against Bjork in the Brooklyn (Kings County) Supreme Court on March 31, 2015, demanding more custody of their 12-year-old daughter.

Barney alleges Bjork spends too much time with their daughter at his expense. He also claims that more equitable custody is something their daughter “has stated, on her own initiative, that she wants,” according to Page Six.
“Bjork is effectively sacrificing [Isadora’s] emotional well-being in favor of her own selfish desires,” Barney’s lawsuit alleges. “Her self-focused mindset… flows, in part, from her belief that as Doa’s mother, she has far greater rights than I do as Doa’s father; and, in part, from her insistence that I am solely to blame for the breakdown of our relationship and the end of our intact family.”
