There are a bunch of strong bosses in ARK: Fjordur, but not all of them give a cool mount. The new Fenrisulfr boss drops a Cryopod containing a Fenrir you ca use as a mount. This boss is not only hard to find but also to beat.

Fenrisulfr Requirements

Fenrisulfr can be summoned at one of the three Obelisks. The blue one is located at coordinates 74.40 - 07.90 (indicated by the blue marker on the map above).

But in order to summon the boss you need to offer three boss trophies, including:

• Megapithecus Trophy.
• Broodmother Trophy.
• Dragon Trophy.

In order to obtain all three trophies you must first defeat the three bosses.

Megapithecus Location

Coordinates: 56.60 - 84.60

The boss can be summoned after crafting his engram at the terminal, which requires the following materials (For Alpha):

• 1 Artifact of the Brute.
• 1 Artifact of the Devourer.
• 1 Artifact of the Pack.
• 10 Megalania Toxin.
• 10 Megalodon Tooth.
• 10 Spinosaurus Sail.
• 1 Steinbjorn Relic.
• 10 Therizino Claws.
• 10 Thylacoleo Hook-Claw.

Megapithecus is the weakest of the three bosses, who can be easily defeated using the following mounts:

• Yutyrannus.
• Rex.
• Daeodon.
• Kentrosaurus.
• Allosaurus.
• Deinonychus.
• Woolly Rhino.

Once defeated Alpha Megapithecus will drop the following items:

• 220 Element.
• 1 Gorilla Flag.
• 1 Megapithecus Trophy.

Broodmother Location

Coordinates: 57.30 - 65.80

Once you enter this short cave, just follow the path until you arrive at the terminal. You can open its inventory and craft the Broodmother summon, which requires the following items (For Alpha):

• 10 Argentavis Talon.
• 1 Artifact of the Clever.
• 1 Artifact of the Hunter.
• 1 Artifact of the Massive.
• 1 Beyla Relic.
• 10 Sarcosuchus Skin.
• 10 Sauropod Vertebra.
• 10 Titanoboa Venom.

The following mounts will help your group quickly deal with Broodmother:

• Yutyrannus
• Megatherium
• Spinosaurus
• Shadowmanes
• Rex
• Daeodon

Dragon Boss Location

Coordinates: 82.90 - 21.20

The Dragon boss terminal can be found inside a cave that actually has two entrances. The main one is shown on the map above with the corresponding coordinates. You can easily spot it by the two giant dwarven statues in front of it.

In order to summon this Alpha Dragon you need to craft the engram at the terminal, which has the following crafting requirements (For Alpha):

• 10 Allosaurus Brain.
• 1 Artifact of the Cunning.
• 1 Artifact of the Immune.
• 1 Artifact of the Skylord.
• 1 Artifact of the Strong.
• 10 Basilosaurus Blubber.
• 2 Giganotosaurus Heart.
• 1 Hati Relic.
• 1 Skoll Relic.
• 10 Tusoteuthis Tentacle.
• 15 Tyrannosaurus Arm.
• 10 Yutyrannus Lungs.

How to Defeat Fenrisulfr in ARK: Fjordur

Recommended Mounts

Although Fenrisulfr is the strongest boss of all in Fjordur, taking into account that the Alpha version has 1.2 million HP, it doesn't require players to bring too many mounts to this fight. All you need is to bring the right ones, including:

• Deinonychus.
• Rex.
• Tek Rex.
• Yutyrannus.
• Daeodon.

Bring as many of these mounts as you can, the more the better. But focus mostly on Deinonychus and the Rexes.

Best Strategy

The battle takes place on a rather cold arena, where the temperature drops below 30 degrees, so equip Fur armor or something to withstand the freezing environment.

Fenrisulfr requires a very strict strategy, or he will overpower you with his strength. Follow these general tips:

• Deinonychus mounts have a particularly high rate of bleed damage, which is devastating to this boss.
• Since Fenrisulfr has many unexpected and strong attacks, you will need a Rex to be able to block these attacks effectively.
• Tek Rexes are needed for group offense, which will come in handy once Fenrisulfr takes a step back.
• Use Daeodon to heal yourself and other mounts.

During this fight you must focus on keeping distance from an attacking Fenrisulfr, but you need to push the advantage once he retreats for a moment.

This boss is highly fast and mobile, so send all your Rexes at Fenrisulfr and make them surround the boss. This will block his movements, so you can start pasting him with your firearms much more effectively

Rinse and repeat this strategy until you deplete his enormous HP pool, and Fenrisulfr will be finally defeated.

Fenrisulfr Rewards

Once Fenrisulfr drops dead, you can pick up the following items:

• 500 Element.
• 1 Cryopod.
• 1 Fenrisulfr Flag.
• 1 Fenrisulfr Trophy.

Note that the Cryopod contains a Fenrir creature, which is a unique mount in ARK: Fjordur. The highest possible level of Fenrir is 225, which can be obtained after defeating the Alpha Fenrisulfr.
