Engine, Transmission, and Drivetrain
The X6 is available in two options: the 40i and the M50i. The 40i has a 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine that delivers 335hp of power. An 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive back the engine. The M50i ups the ante to a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that provides 523hp and 553 lbs of torque. It uses the same 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy
The two high-performance BMW engines feature an enviable fuel economy. The 40i gets 21MPG in the city and 25MPG on the highway. Normally a V8 is considered a gas-guzzler, but the M50i maintains a solid 16MPG in the city and 22MPG on the highway.
Interior
The X6 comes already equipped with a large 12.3″ touchscreen. The screen gives you the option to control certain functions by gesturing in front of the screen. It also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, and HD radio. Optional extras include a 16 or 20-speaker sound system, wireless device charging, and a WiFi hotspot.
The seating is the ultimate in comfort and luxury, with heated 14-way power-adjusted seating, simulated-leather upholstery, and thermoelectrical cup holders that can keep your beverage hot or cold. Optional extras include a crystal gear shift and a panoramic glass roof that mirrors the night sky.
Cargo Capacity
With comfortable seating for five adults, the X6 still provides 27 cubic feet of cargo space. If you fold down the rear seats, this capacity rises to over 54 cubic feet.

Automatic braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beam headlights, road-sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, and forward collision warning are all standard.
