Fiat has launched the all-new third generation of the Doblò and the fully electric e-Doblò compact vans, which come in LCV and MPV variants and are rebadged versions of other Stellantis models, namely the Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Rifter and Opel Combo Life, as well as the Toyota ProAce City Verso.

Starting with the exterior design, the e-Doblò is differentiated thanks to the stylish front grille with chrome accents and Fiat lettering underneath. The rest of the face is borrowed from the LCV variant of the Citroën Berlingo, including the headlights and the unpainted plastic front bumper. The rest of the bodywork is identical to its siblings, apart from the Fiat and e-Doblò badges on the tailgate, the new Mediterraneo Blue exterior shade and the 16-inch alloy wheels.

The same theme continues inside the cabin where the Fiat badge on the steering wheel is the only way you can tell you are not driving a Berlingo. The MPV comes with a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, with an optional head-up display and a 5-inch digital rearview mirror.

The optional Magic Top brings more light inside the cabin with additional storage compartments for personal items. The e-Doblò has five individual seats and the optional Magic Window which allows the rear windshield to open separately from the tailgate. Safety equipment can include up to 17 ADAS, which are also present on the LCV variant. The latter also features the Grip Control System for better traction on slippery surfaces.

The Doblò van is identical to the passenger version although the side windows have been replaced by panels and it is missing the fancy wheels. Unlike the MPV which only comes in short-wheelbase five-seater bodystyle, the LCV is also available in long-wheelbase format and in three different arrangements (Van, Crew Cab, Combi) focused on practicality and maximizing cargo space.

Payload is up to 800 kg (1,763 pounds) for the electric version and up to 1,000 kg (2,205 pounds) for the ICE-powered models. The cargo area can hold up to two euro-pallets with a maximum volume of 4.4 cubic meters (155.4 cubic feet) in the long-wheelbase Doblò, which is slightly less than the 5 cubic meters (176.6 cubic feet) of the previous-generation Doblo XL. For transporting longer items there is a sliding bulkhead. In the e-Doblò van, the Magic Plug feature allows the battery to power appliances or tools.

As with the entire Stellantis MPV fleet in Europe, the passenger version is exclusively available in fully electric form. The e-Doblò is fitted with a single front-mounted electric motor producing 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque and a 50 kWh battery. Thus, the e-Doblò has more than 280 km (174 mph) of range in the WLTP cycle and supports quick charging up to 100 kW (80% in 30 minutes), while its top speed is electronically limited to 130 km/h (81 mph).

Besides the fully electric powertrain, the Doblò van (LCV) is also available with petrol and diesel engines. More specifically the range includes the 1.5-liter turbodiesel producing 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS) or 128 hp (96 kW / 130 PS), and the turbocharged 1.2-liter petrol producing 109 hp (81 kW / 110 PS). Power is sent to the front axle through a manual gearbox while the most powerful diesel also gets the option of an eight-speed automatic.

The new Fiat Doblò and e-Doblò will be produced in the Stellantis plant in Vigo, Spain, next to their siblings. With the new e-Doblò / Doblò, Fiat Professional has its entire range based on Stellantis underpinnings, including the medium-sized Ulysse / Scudo, and the large Ducato.
