We all remember saddling up to a bar on vacation or at a wedding, with a confident smile, and ordering a shirley temple. It was the special thing we could drink and feel a little adult, while still having something colorful and sweet in your glass.
It's the drink of our childhood that we all still secretly love. Sweet grenadine and fresh lime juice turns a can of soda into the perfect non-alcoholic bubbly drink. You can use as little as grenadine as you'd like. You can even swap out the lemon-lime soda for coke, and you'll have a drink called the Roy Rogers.
Want to make it a bit fancier? You could add some sugar and pomegranate juice to a saucepan and reduce it until syrupy. Then little it cool and use the pomegranate syrup in the same way you'd use grenadine.
