If you were one of the many people excited about Pumpkin Spice Twinkies and Pumpkin Cupcakes earlier this season, get ready to get pumped about even more fall offerings from Hostess, including chocolate Twinkies.
OK, so chocolate cake Twinkies have been a thing in the past (they were introduced all the way back in 2017, a simpler time), but they've been largely absent from stores (and the Hostess website) for a while. Now they've been brought back nationwide and given a Halloween makeover for a limited time.
Instagrammer JunkPickers spotted this treat—that features chocolate cake and a "s'cream" filling, at Wegmans—but it can be found nationwide now in stores, according to Hostess.
Also spotted at Wegmans for the Halloween season were "Glo Balls," a Halloween take on Sno Balls. They are chocolate cake with a creamy filling that is topped with coconut and marshmallow dyed bright orange, rather than its typical pink.
Rounding out the spooky snacks from Hostess this Halloween are Scary Cakes with S’cream Filling, aka a scary take on Hostess Cupcakes. These are Hostess Chocolate CupCakes with brown and orange-colored frosting and creamy filling inside.
Pricing for each of these sweet and spooky treats varies between $1.99-3.99 and are all available now. But if you're looking to hand these out to trick-or-treaters, you may want to act quickly. Hostess told us that they often sell out before Halloween, so get to it before they're gone scary fast.
